  1. The darn things work

Posted by Daniel Champion on 7th Mar 2014

I have the 8 in. rifled 9 mm , 45 acp, and the 22 lr. they work so well that today I ordered the 45 colt. Now I need you to make a 38/357 and a 44 mag. in the 8 in. rifle for the 12 ga. I also have a 12/20 ga and a 12/410. the fact that I keep spending my money on your products proves that they work and work well.

  2. 8" .22LR 12 gauge adapter

Posted by Eric W on 22nd Feb 2014

For what this is designed to do, it works great. I can hit a squirrel-sized target consistently at 20 yards with only the bead sight on my 12 gauge.

  3. Amazing Build Quality

Posted by Mike on 8th Jan 2014

I recently purchased the .22LR Extended Insert.

The adapter is really very impressive, from the moment you first open the package.

It has some heft (weight) to it, however you would expect that from a product such as this.

It would be neat to see a next generation product from Short Lane, manufactured from carbon fibre; offering light weight, corrosion resistance and target grade accuracy.

Until then, this product is extremely impressive. If you take care of it, your children will enjoy this product for a lifetime.

I'm proud to continue to support Short Lane Arms; great products from a great American company!

  4. Good product that works

Posted by Chris on 7th May 2013

I have shot my 8 inch adapter and although I have not yet tested its accuracy to my satisfaction, it does work. I suspect its greatest benefit is that it will allow me to carry my shotgun yet dispatch animals at close distance with a small caliber. I found it to be a bit on the heavy side, but I assume this is necessary for safety. I consider it a must have in the process of making the 12 gauge the one gun option. I will be adding the 20G, 410G, and 9mm.

  5. 100 yards?

Posted by Jed Bowen on 2nd May 2013

This is a wonderful tool to add to the art of shooting. I took the 12 gauge adapters 8" .22LR and 8" 9mm adapters along with the shotgun to the range with an old friend and he was blown away with this invention "why didn't they think of this a long time ago?". We were out punching 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards out with the big guns and I wanted to see what these would do. The 8" .22LR was holding about a 20" and the 8" 9mm was holding a 12" group but this is only with a front bead sight. I have thought with it scoped these adapters could hold a squirrel sized group at 100 yards easy. They are very accurate and seem to hold a zero for only having a front bead sight. When I can put a scope on the shotgun I will come back with the results along with the ammunition types that these adapters may seem to favor. I look forward to the 12 gauge to muzzle loader adapter. I will get that the first day if possible.
I would love to see a nesting set so I can take out the 10 gauge goose gun, it would be a 10ga to 12ga adapter with a 12ga to 20ga, 20ga to 16ga (this may not work due to how thin the walls of this adapter may be)then step the 20ga or 16ga down to a 410ga then the 410ga to a .22LR or something like that.
Thank you for making a great product and keep up the good work

  6. 22 LR adapter

Posted by lee on 13th Apr 2013

I didn't expect this item will me any accuracy-- on the contrary, my lead hits the target every time I squeeze the trigger-- and what a cheap fun I can have-- not worrying about the cost of ammos these days-- I will order this one more..

  7. survival gun

Posted by Donald Kaiser on 2nd Apr 2013

Seems like a good start for a survival gun. What would make this concept even better is if you guys designed your own buttstock that would house these 8 inch adapters. I just think the less you have to carry in your rucksack the better. The adapter could fit in middle of stock and in bottom of stock you could put a small hole for the LR shells then on top you could put a slide off piece that held 5 12 gauge shells. Of course all this would necessitate a quick removable butt plate. Please offer your adapters in .22 magnum the most useful small game round ever invented. P.S if you ever use my idea I would be highly grateful if you sent me one for free because i am a poor college student with not a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

  8. bigger caliber

Posted by mastergunsmith on 15th Mar 2013

Would love to see this go on say like a 3030 or 308 or even 3006 truly the best guys keep en coming ...I will be waiting for more.

  9. Great product

Posted by Bill Hartsfield on 28th Feb 2013

I read the reviews for the 8 inch pathfinder and decided that I would give it a try. It worked great. Not only is it accurate, but the longer length means it won't eject from the gun. Less chance of losing it. Keep up the good work.

  10. Great idea & great fun!

Posted by T Holmes on 27th Feb 2013

I recently ordered the 8" 22 cal adapter and I am simply astounded at how accurate and how fun it is to shoot, & with very little practice too. Admittedly I was skeptical at first and held off ordering for a few months. I regret that. I should have ordered much sooner. The adapter placement in the barrel was perfect and once adjusted as per the instructions provided I found the sweet spot & was grouping them nicely at 50 yards, then knocking tin cans around at will for fun at about 35 yards. I hope The Short Lane Team puts forth more adapters in this 8" series, maybe in 22mag or 38 special. I'm surprised & impressed, coolest thing I've seen in a coon's age.....
